Tell us about your family. My husband Jeff and I have been married for 30 years. We have 3 children; Jessica, Julie, & Jared. Jessica is married to Calan and they have 2 children, Melody and Ezra. Julie is married to Caleb and they have 2 children, Everleigh and Houston.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Spending time with my husband; we love working in the yard and spending time with our grandbabies
What might our readers not know about you? I went back to college at age 36 and graduated at age 40 from Mercer University
What do you love most about your job as a middle school math teacher? I love that I have the opportunity to make a difference in the life of young people, both spiritually and academically. Teaching math is a challenge in and of itself, but when I can see the excitement when students understand a topic, it makes me so so happy!! I also love when students feel safe enough to want to build a relationship with me.
What do you love most about Praise Academy? What I love most about Praise is the sense of family I have with my co-workers AND my students. This is my 12th year working at Praise. I love coming to work each day and helping students achieve success in what most feel is their worst subject. I love that I can pray with my students as a whole and individually. I am also proud to say all 3 of my children graduated from Praise and now my oldest grandbaby attends K4 here.
